Regardless of whether you believe in the theory or not, this is certainly a very good read with some very interesting points. As someone who has studied ancient history and archaeology at university there certainly is evidence to suggest we could have been visited by ancient aliens, and until we have definite proof to say otherwise, it is not a theory that should should be dismissed, but rather explored further by scholars.
My only criticisms of the version I read however, was that the a fair few of the images used in the book could've been of much higher quality rather than just reusing images from the original book. This made it hard at times to see and understand what he was trying to show which took away from the read a bit as I had to look at more up to date images to fully understand him. The book could've also been updated slightly so to not use some derogatory racial names for certain cultures, and instead use the proper names for those cultures. My biggest criticism however, lies in the foreword - there is no mention of how far archaeology has moved on in methods since the publication of the original book, as field archaeologists work far more closely with those who work in laboratories so they can examine artifacts and soil samples in far more detail than before. As a result he has not mentioned how or if these changes in archaeological practice have affected his own theory.
