I want to clarify that the theories in this book are mildly interesting and the basis for some great sci-fi media. However, the author writes using his own voice which makes it a tough read to get through.

I read the perhaps most stupid line I ever thought I would read at page 20. After that I just couldn't keep going

This was pretty interesting. It suggests that the earth has been visited by beings from other planets in ancient times. How else would different civilisations from all around the world have been drawing and describing the exact same things, 'Gods' wearing space helmets and flying around in a 'floating chariot'? Either every ancient civilisation were on hallucinogenic drugs or we've been visited by aliens more than once in the past.

A little out dated but it really makes you think "what if?"

I am not sure what I was expecting from this book, but what I read sure wasn't it.  It had some interesting thoughts on how Earth must have been visited by Aliens many centuries ago and how scientists should dedicate time to researching all the different coincidences around the world that need to be looked at.

If one keeps in context the original date of publication, the sheer volume of modern media based upon the theories and ideas posed by the author here are absolutely astounding. Even if you tend to not believe in alien life or the like, the origins of much of modern pop culture can be sourced here, or are referenced within the work. A solid read for any modern pop culture and/or sci-fi fan, and an interesting read for those with a taste for challenging the conventional narrative of human history.

My expectations were too high when I chose this book. I found myself to be disappointed with how repetitive the content was. It felt like the author was trying to make you believe what he was writing by saying it over and over again.
