The first 1/2 felt like deja vu after reading Born of Fire.- Man wanted by evil Dark Lord to avenge the wrongs done to him and his family in the past uses women to find said man only to have them going at it like bunnies.-Didn't we just do that one generation up the family tree ? Bah, waste of time. I was about to throw it aside and move on to the third book when the story twisted a bit and gained my interest. The last 1/4 was filled with intense action, revelations and new direction for the next book. ( Which is really good, I've read it before) I still did not like this story. I did not connect to the main characters as much as in her other books. Now I remember why I skipped this book in my first reading of this series. I was warned it was a reclyced story.

Very enjoyable Sherrilyn Kenyon fair.

I can never put her books down. They are light reading but exceedingly enjoyable and I ways highly recommend any of her books.

I enjoy the banter between the characters and the continuation of previous characters stories which is a signature of Kenyon's.

Read the first two before Born of Ice as it we help make sense in all the characters who pop up or are mentioned.
#1 - Born of Night
#2 - Born of Fite

I felt as though this story was a rehash of Born of Fire. Although Devyn and Alice were likeable enough characters, there was no depth to them or their romance. It felt very flat and forced.

If you are a fan of this series, I would recommend reading this just so you get to learn more about the other great characters in this story. I would not recommend it for the plot or romance aspects.

Short and sweet. A nice little novella to give some "side characters" a happy ending.

I was kind of sad that we already are dealing with the first two books kids all grown up. That said I loved this book. I like happy endings and love that Syn and his two had that in this.

WOW! The best of the series!!! I re-read this right after I read it I loved it so much. It was so fun to see all children of my favorite characters as they embarked on their own shenanigans. This book read smooth and Kenyon has this perfect way about putting all the other books together so that you're not scratching your head like who the hell is this and what the hell is going on. This book was the perfect way to end Syn's legacy but I am so hopping to see more about their story line.

3.5 Stars.

It's been a couple years since I read the first two in this series but thankfully it was on a later timeline than the last two so it didn't take long to pick back up. I am on the fence about how much I enjoyed this book. Obviously it was good enough for me to keep on reading it but I think I much prefer SK Fantesy Romance books over her Sci-Fi Romance. (I also found that the epilogue was a bit cheesy.)

Probably will continue reading this series because I can never get enough of her books but I didn't enjoy it as much as I'd hoped.
