 Not for me.

First of all, I'm so incredibly burnt out on time-loop narratives, and I ultimately don't really see the hook of that conceit for this book, since it kind of gets ignored for most of the book. Looking at the plot itself, a human woman from our world is mysteriously thrown into a fantasy world, and after failing time and time again to unite the nations of man to overthrow the evil hordes, decides to join with the evil hordes and rule them, I'm into it. But, when I'm not into is the absolute non-stop terrible humor. Just the world Tumblr jokes and inane bits that just made me want to smash my Kindle the entire time. There's even exhausting jokes in footnotes! It had potential, but it's all just suffocated in an ocean of "well, that just happened!" humor.

DNF @ 35%. After just finishing Natalie Zina Walschots’ “Hench”, I was excited for what I thought was a similar villain vibe. This was not. I’m really tired of men writing shallow “female” characters who are thinly-veiled setups for what they think is a titillating POV. It’s not only gross, it’s unforgivably boring.

Overall,
I had so much fun with this!!! It will likely not be everyones cup of tea but this was one of those books was exactly what I needed at the exact right time. A ground hogs day twist in a fantasy realm, Davi has lived countless lives stuck in a loop. Everytime she dies she has to start over and now instead of trying to save the kingdom she has decided to become the dark lord instead. Davi as an FMC is snarky, funny and takes nothing seriously. This book is satire! It is a fun ride that  I enjoyed emensly. I can't wait to read the next one.
