The chapter headings almost deserve a star all their own. :)

I've taken a few days to gather my thoughts on this one and just want to write something a little more detailed down so I know if I want to continue with the series or ever re-listen to this.

The things I enjoyed were the main character's integrity and desire to bring justice to bear on the people who committed the atrocity she was privy to; her sense of humor; her badass intelligence and tactical savvy as well as the ability to ass-kick when needed; her mistakes and slip ups which added a realistic feel; and, unsurprisingly, Abby Craden's performance.

The things I found wanting were the romantic relationship (there was an ambiguity that I believe was intentional to make you question its authenticity but it was too mild and undeveloped to hit the mark); the pacing of the plot (not everyone call pull off a Phone Booth masterpiece of tension and suspense, I know); and the repetitiveness of stated worries and concerns.

Weighing the things I enjoyed against the things that left me unfulfilled has left me ambivalent about continuing the series and feeling that I won't re-listen to this one in the future but am not sorry that I spent the time and money on it for the first listen.

This is one of those books you dont want to put down, alas it was a family wedding weekend so i had to. But every chance I got i read this book.

I loved Sophia Flores do much but at the same time I felt a bit bad for her. I also love Lexie. The weight of the world on her shoulders.

But to me this isnt a romance its a story with romance side plot. But I love the main plot. Its suspenseful and mysterious and captures your attention.
