Following the Goodreads definition that this was "OK." I enjoyed Gavez's Match to Love, so I was hoping for something similar, but it just didn't quite work for me. It's a cute story, but given the fact that these are Russian gymnasts I found very little of this to be believable. First, I had trouble believing the State wouldn't allow their athletes to be openly homosexual. Second, there's weirdly a decent amount of drinking. For elite, highly controlled athletes in the middle of training? I don't buy it. But even with all those issues, the narrative was awkward.

This was really nice. A healthy split, a healthy reunion, healthy relationship ideals and morals. Arina giving Sonya the chance to approach her herself, to decide for herself if she wanted the relationship, was really mature and I’m glad it worked out well. A full book of this story would have been so much better to sort out the pacing and time skips and to have more in-depth characters; might consider reading Match to Love.

This was a really poorly executed story. Noting stood out, the characters were bland and timejumps i not work.

I've hear the full novels are better so I will give her another chance.
