A good book with pictures from the secret service agent who was there for the travels with Jackie Kennedy, or Mrs. Kennedy as he refers to her throughout the book. It was a great to read of her intelligence during her visits to foreign countries.

Wasn't my favorite Clint Hill book, but still interesting and heartfelt.

Absolutely loved the photos. I was a child during the Kennedy administration and do not remember much of the President and Mrs. Kennedy. I did not appreciate her significant contributions during their time in the White House. Mr. Hill provides a behind the scenes view of those years. What a bright, smart, and accomplished woman Mrs. Kennedy was.

This was a wonderful quick read. I listened to this as a audiobook for free through the Libby app (no wait!). I loved hearing about Jackie’s travels and the logistics of secret service protection. I felt like this really focused on her and her contributions to her husband’s legacy. It was concise and succinct, but still beautifully written. I LOVE hearing memoirs like this in the voice of the author and I think it made all the difference in this book, too. However, do yourself a favor and peruse a hard copy of it (or access the PDF addendum for the audiobook) at some point - for the pictures!! Incredible photos of the former First Lady and of the author, Clint Hill. Truly amazing pieces of history. It touches on the assassination of JFK, but spends much more time on Jackie, which I really loved. There are so many books about that day in 1963 (including one by the same author), and this did a wonderful job of keeping the reminiscence about Jackie, and the author. The ONLY thing that I didn’t love about this was that uncomfortable feeling in my gut when he uses phrases like “no one knew her like I did”. Just starts to lean into the presumption that he was the person closest to her and who understood her the best. Feels… a lean a bit too far. Then again, who am I to know! Regardless, that was a fleeting moment in an otherwise wonderful book that delves into the unique relationship formed between a First Lady and her secret service detail and discusses in detail the woman America fell in love with. Totally recommend, especially for anyone else that loves American History.

An intimate look at Mrs. Kennedy through the eyes of one of her longest-serving Secret Service Agents, this book was heartfelt and contained images never seen before of the former first lady. A treasure trove of history and an essential book for any Jackie fan. I wish there had been a touch more about her accomplishments in Washington but the travel stories were incredible on their own.

highly recommend! This book was written by the US Secret Service agent assigned to Jackie Kennedy. So many pictures and stories of her travels before and after the assassination of President Kennedy. His admiration and respect for Mrs Kennedy is evident throughout the book.

Not a bad way to spend a Saturday morning, especially with the audiobook read by the author. I've always found Clint Hill to be a fascinating person, who spent so much time with so many other fascinating people (especially where the Kennedys are concerned, where I am - again - fascinated).

Very accessible, short, sweet and to the point. Well developed and organized. Amazing stories, of course, and told by the only man who can tell them. Highly recommend.
