Instead of a review here some quotes I really liked which - IMO - get the book pretty well:

"The place had been my home while I was lost. But holding Lacey - I was found."

"It's not a dream if it doesn't include you, River"

""We don't need a spot, River. We don't need an abandoned house. We don't need a cabin. We don't need the last ten years. We just need ...." "Forever," he whispered."

"River may have been a boy I used to love. But he was a man I would share forever with."

Great characters in River and Lacey. London Casey and Jaxson Kidman bought both characters to life in a way that you wanted them to sort their issues and get together sooner.

I did get annoyed by Lacey when instead of talking to River she drove away from the cabin.

When they made love during the storm it was so Hot!

It was very painful going through his mother's illness and death with Axel.

All in all a great read.

I liked the bare bones idea of this story but not the execution. In addition, I was not a big fan of the writing style - it felt almost juvenile. Lacey and River have been longing for each other for a decade. River numbs himself with other women and Lacey with a fake relationship. When they reconnect I was thinking ok finally something will happen. Instead he ends up screwing a couple of other women and she mopes around. By this point I couldn't give a shit whether they got together or not.

Am I the only one who thought this book was basically a copy of the first book in this series? Does there really need to be multiple drunk driving accidents (at least one in each book with fatalities) in each story? Maybe I would have liked this book more if I hadn't just immediately read book #1 before this. Since it's fresh in my mind I see every single similarity in the storylines...but it's a series so it should be expected that people will read them together/in order. Also, there were 3 separate characters named Mary. Maybe it's really nitpicky of me to bring up, but it really annoyed me. It was like the authors couldn't remember what they had written already and keep just naming everyone Mary.
