This was so damn good. Going to put my foot down and say it’s my favourite book for 2020!
This book... made me feel seen (that sounds super wanky but it did)

I recently attended a virtual book event where one of the authors (Garroni) was a speaker. This book came up and I immediately put it on hold at the library. This book did not disappoint with the "Sex and the City" content and I laughed several times. Additionally, I learned I am a Miranda with a Miranda rising, which is a fun fact.

My one complaint about this book is that it seems overly harsh toward Charlotte(s). I know that Miranda and Charlotte often butted heads on the show, but the book makes it seem like these two characters are in complete opposition to each other. I don't necessarily agree with that assessment, but given how the authors presented Miranda-based life advice I do think there is some merit.

A fun read for any "Sex and the City" fan and/or self-help lovers.

I’d like to give this book a 0, but that’s not possible. So i gave it a 1 star. Writing is ok, the characters as a resource and inspo its ok but the themes are just meh… I think it got old really really fast and feels like it is a boomer trying to explain a millennial what a millennial is. Bored.

People I’ve met that also watched Sex and the City always said I was a Miranda and I used to feel embarrassed by that because she was the character people wanted to be like the least. However, after watching the show multiple times I realized that the majority of the time, Miranda is the most realistic and intelligent character out of all the women. She’s an independent feminist who does not want to spend all of her talking about men, she’s a workaholic, and she’s doesn’t live in some fantasy land, she lives in the real world. No matter how hard that may be. Being identified as a “Miranda” is not something to embarrassed about, it’s something to embrace!
