Okay, so I've been sucked in to the world of Kate Daniels now. I've finally connected enough with the characters that I really want to continue reading (it has a lot to do with the Kate/Curran dynamic). This narrative was great,
Spoiler the character of the aunt, whose name I've forgotten, reminded me a lot of the character of Hela from Thor Ragnarok
.
I borrowed the next book immediately, so thats where I'm at. More plz.

What this book did best was completely upset the status quo, setting us up for the series going forward. As for the rest of it, I really don't have the patience for relationships where one or both parties act like complete idiots for no reason, and I remain unmoved by the cliche shifter power dynamics. The story didn't really have the power I felt it ought to, given who she was up against. Just overall weaker than the rest of the series, for me.

i think this one was my favorite so far. the plot was just so fun, and i liked seeing kate go on a lot of these adventures alone this time (w/ her poodle lol). curran and kate have a lot of good tension, but i do wish we got to see them develop these feelings more.

Kate Daniels #4
Adult Urban Fantasy
Really love this series. The world, the characters. I can really cruise through reading these and usually by the end I think, I'm finished, already? Nooo, I must read more. This is not my favorite of the series so far, but it does create a huge shift in the development.

I read this, I'm 90% sure. I remember the beginning. I rememebr being ticked off about Lion boy being a jerk, but totally don't remember the rest of the book. And after reading a could of the reviews below I'm thinking maybe I only read a sample chapter? I rememebr Grendel...but not why Kate was stood up.

First if WOW, what a ride. Okay now that I got that out of my system I can try to write this review. For some reason I always have trouble writing reviews for this series, which is odd since I love so much, you would think it be easier to write it but no.
This book was a pure roller coaster ride of emotions. Kate barley gets any time or room to breathe and is in constant action and danger. She meets someone in from her family and it is not a nice reunion at all, but we all figured that out already.
