I think this is one too many intro book for me, I just didn’t really get anything new from it. I didn’t really love the tone or writing style, feel like I’ve just wasted a lot of time reading this.

Think it would be alright for a beginner, however, there’s quite a bit of misinformation scattered throughout the book.

This isn't it. This is a problematic book written that is white-centric and Western-centric. Like other reviewers, the need to compare racism and anti-Semitism to the dislike or disdain that witches might experience is not the same. The constant need to mention non-secular religions, especially the constant need to compare Islam and Muslim woman to anything else that the author deems non-oppressive is stereotypical and ignorant as if oppression is only found in this religion and not everywhere regardless of culture or religion. There are no citations, so everything is very subjective and from their perspective, which is ok since they are sharing aspects of their practice, but if you are trying to present a comprehensive, beginner guide that is an overview of all types of practices, then sources are needed. Especially needed when you start to talk about the history of witchcraft. It is written in an elementary language that overuses generic idioms and sayings, mere fluff and surface level. Take this with a grain of salt and if you are serious about learning more, go to other sources to compare the information.
