- I loved the easter eggs that tie back to ATLA and TLOK! I really enjoy how the Avatar Universe's worldbuilding continues to expand.
- I enjoyed this installment of the comics a lot more than The Promise. The Search was wonderfully constructed, especially storyline-wise.

So I thought this was the first book in this graphic novel series turns out its the second. My bad.
I love the Avatar world. I love being back with these characters. This is such a fun continuation.
In this story we follow Zuko and his search for his mother. We finally get to find out more about her and what happened to her and it’s not what I expected.
There was a lot of back and forth between present and past which was okay but I don’t think works for a graphic novel as there isn’t enough time to really explore the past. I just felt like something was missing. And I couldn’t connect to Zuko’s mum like I think was intended.
But overall it was still a good addition to the series and the art style was beautiful.
