I loved Heart of Hush, at least as much as the original Hush story.
Hush's (a.k.a. Thomas Elliot) attempt to get revenge on Batman for unwittingly replacing him in his mother's eyes, comes in the form of an attack on the one woman who Bruce Wayne/Batman could ever love: Selina Kyle/Catwoman.
There is a gravity to this that I distinctly felt, and I thought it could actually end in Catwoman's death, particularly because this is placed so close to [b:Batman: R.I.P.|3430164|Batman R.I.P.|Grant Morrison|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1255933379s/3430164.jpg|3471065], where, I assume, Batman himself dies (or so we are led to believe...). If Bruce Wayne may be fair game, why not Ms. Kyle?
I can't wait for R.I.P., I hope it stands up to my expectations...

I'm stunned out how much I loved this book. Paul Dini continues to prove why he's one of the best writers when it comes to batman. This story fleshes out the villain 'Hush' and goes into what makes him hate Bruce so much and it was awesome. There's one complaint I have with this book and it's the art. I didn't think the art style fits the story and some of the facial expressions seemed a bit off to me. Other than that I loved this book and I think fans of Batman should read this.

I enjoyed this for mostly the same reasons that I liked Hush. It humanizes Batman when he shows that he feels. And he feels deeply for Catwoman. So I'm just going to warn all the bad guys, don't mess with Batman's girl. You won't live to regret it...

I liked it, but not as much as the first outing of Hush, which is weird because I enjoyed the exploration into the character of Hush here a great deal - just not the overall thing. Good artwork, good story, but there was a certain oomph lacking. Also, Hush did have a touch of the whiny-pants about him, which became tiresome after a while.

I devoured this book as soon as it was available in-stores. Of course I read each issue prior to that but it ain't as good as reading in succession.

The villainous concoction of Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee, Hush, aka Thomas Elliot, is once again up to no good and seeks to bring his nemesis Batman down, reaching Bruce Wayne where it hurts most (hey, I just noticed how that statement could be misconstrued): his heart. It's a race against time to save the woman who's meant more to Bruce than he's ever allowed.

Plenty of Batman and Catwoman banter thrown in with a very poignant move forward in their tumultuous but utterly electric relationship. If it will ever amount to more is another question, but would we have it any other way?

Paul Dini consistently churns out fantastic narratives, and more importantly there are no pretensions about his writing (Grant Morrison, I bite my thumb at you, sir)! Dustin Nguyen's pencilling is equally refreshing, especially his watercolours which are mind-bogglingly well executed. I love them.

Not entirely sure how this pertains to the main RIP storyline, but what the hell, this sure as hell makes more sense, ergo more enjoyable to me at least.

Batman Heart of Hush by Paul Dini, Dustein Dguyen, and Derek Fridolfs A few days ago a friend of mine put this book on my desk and said "you need to read this"  and I did.  I don't really know a lot about Batman so it took a while to figure out what was going on.  I liked it though it wasn't too difficult to follow even with my lack of knowledge and the story was full of action and really interesting.

Good Story

I liked the development of Thomas Elliot, but I found the relationship of Batman and Catwoman to be pushed a little too hard.

Paul Dini is my favourite Batman author (and Leob), Hush one of my favourite storylines. Catwoman in this was... oh my gosh, one of my absolute favourite Batman stories ever.

This was...ok.

Heart of Hush, like the title suggests, delves into the background of Hush, which all and good (and needed because the original Hush didn't really do that). Unfortunately though, I realized I don't really care about the character so those parts did nothing for me. It was still worth a read because of Selina and the guest appearance by Zatanna. But I wasn't fond of the "bad guy goes after Catwoman to hurt Batman because she is the only person he truly loves!!!" thing. Although she gets payback and owns Hush by the end, which was awesome.
