Took me forever to read it. It was pretty boring. The third and final is coming out next year but not sure I’ll read it. Honestly it’s not even worth giving a summary

OMG I was not expecting the reason she put him to sleep for 2000 years to be that! That plot twist got me and I didn't see it coming at all. I really liked seeing them grow closer this book and reading about Selene coming to terms with her two lives and how they will shape her going forward. Her and Memnon were so good and the spice was on point! I give this book 4.5 stars and the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that it felt a tiny bit like a filler book, I know there has to be another one. I really enjoyed reading it and couldn't put it down though because the writing was amazing!

This book was just not it.

I really liked the first book, I’ve read it twice. I’ve read 3/4 horsemen books by LT multiple times. And 2 of her other series. This seemed so poorly thought out and written in comparison. Not to say the others didn’t have flaws, but this was rough.

I liked the characters fine before this book but it just felt like selene was so much more dumb in this one. There were so many times where i questioned why the author added a story point only to utterly ignore it, or… and i think maybe this was most frustrating… this book was written like the reader is as stupid as Selene. Everything was obvious a mile away and i kept finding myself skimming through grueling scenes that felt pointless.

There was so much potential here before this book, but it just went a super weird direction. This is probably the first of LT’s books where i just can’t bring myself to read the last in the series.

Bespelled is the second book in the Bewitched series. It is not a stand-alone as it picks up directly at the end of the first book. I appreciate that the author begins the book with a brief recap of the first book. Some parts of this book pulled at my heartstrings but overall this book was so, so good. This story had me absolutely absorbed and I didn’t want to put it down. I honestly think it was better than the first book! It does end in another cliffhanger of sorts. I typically do not like and avoid books with cliffhangers if I can help it, but to be fair, in this instance, it wasn’t a cliffhanger that made me mad. It just leaves me wanting more story and more Memnon! I definitely cannot wait for the next one. Just FYI, I received this as an ARC and this is my honest review of the book.

R- would read again. Ahh I’m obsessed with this series! I don’t know how I’m supposed to go a whole year before the last one comes out 😭 I don’t even know how to put into words all my thoughts so just know this was a really good book.
