Good enough. Not really anything special. Good enough to make me continue the series, but not good enough to make me dive deeper into Dean Koontz if I wasn’t already familiar with him. I had a fair amount of pacing issues with this. For a relatively simple and fast moving novel, there was so much that I felt was over written and drawn out.

While reading this all I could think is that something like this could really happen. And if it does I hope there’s a Jane Hawk to save us! I didn’t know it was going to be a cliff hanger so now I’ll have to move on to the next book.

Actually, 3.5 (but there's no way to give that rating).

I feel like this book was written by a ghost writer. Though it’s been a decade or two since I read a Koontz book, it didn’t have the same feel. And the cliffhanger ending let me unsatisfied yet not really keen to read the next book in this series.
