I gave 2.25 because I wanted to justify that I didn't waste time. This is not a story but more like a writing prompt. It's incomplete, it's just a build-up and...it's not great. The reason everyone has rated this book so low is because people find hope here in the first few issues that this would be good, awesome even, but it never lives up to that. The story is meandering...but it had hope. If Miller was, I don't know, up to the task, then this could have been another awesome book like Year One...but it's not even close. I loved a lot of things about this book and THAT is the reason I hate this book more. It just sets up so much and does nothing with all that. On top of that,people are randomly kissing each other and there are unnecessary hot chicks running about being nothing but eye candy.

Can't believe this was written by the same man who wrote Year One and Daredevil Born Again.
