great read

This was a great continuation. I wish David had been developed a bit more but overall excellent. Can’t wait to see where book 3 takes us

This book is part of the hybrid aria series - each book focuses on a different character from Aria’s bloodline. This one focuses on her sister Lily, following the events at the end of book 1.
Lily was left broken and feared by her pack, with seemingly no psychological support for what she went through. Her family are at a loss and as a last resort, they send her away with her newly found mate.
This book spent a lot focusing on her journey, you can see how Jessica’s writing has matured. That said, it does follow what is quickly feeling to be her pattern of a pregnancy solves everything and the unexpected pregnancy trope. I feel Lily deserved more of a development journey than she received and more time could have been spent on her healing through a trusting relationship with Damien (which wasn’t shown at all, if anything his actions would have made it worse!).
