High magick fell from the stars, and when we found it, we did what humans always do. We decided it was ours to claim.

With a title as nefarious as this, I was expecting everyone to be quite more, well…evil. This started off with such a bang and then ploddingly petered out. Solid twists and turns, but it just took a bit too long to get there.

I loved Foody and Herman’s use of rotating POV’s (I enjoy moments when characters aren’t all on the same page/agenda), but I kept hoping that our main protagonists could’ve been fleshed out so much more.
