Let There Be Light is book two in the Sled Dogs Series.
OMG you are so going to love this story.
This is the story of Scarlett, she works as a librarian but has a dream to be a musher and run the Iditarod. Her best friend Lauren helps her achieve her dream.
Henry Mitchell III’s grandfather has left a bucket list in his will that Henry must fulfil or lose his inheritance and one of the items is to race in the Iditarod and place.
Sparks fly between Scarlett and Henry, there is a love/hate relationship. Their attraction to each other keeps their rivalry alive while competing. Will love find a way to break through the rivalry or will they continue to strive to win?
Oh and of course we can’t forget the main characters of the book the sled dogs. If it wasn’t for them we wouldn’t have a great story.
Melissa Storm has done it again, what more do I need to say.

Let There Be Light by Melissa Storm is a great adventure story with an enemies-to-lovers romance that will melt your heart. Scarlett was a character that I could easily relate to as a reader. She lives in the worlds between the pages of her books. And we all know how that feels. But she’s ready to experience her own adventure this time.

She begins training for the Iditarod. Which seemed a little out of place to me. It’s the biggest sled dog race in the world. And I didn’t think you can just jump right in and run it your first year in training. But maybe I’m wrong. Because that’s exactly what she did – with the help of Lauren and Shane from the previous book.

Henry Mitchell has a very bad reputation, and it isn’t clear at first if he really deserves it. But he’s also out to win the Iditarod, with much more at stake than Scarlett. Because his family’s inheritance is on the line. And his family is not well-loved in the dog community.

Henry and Scarlett make an interesting match from the very beginning. With the hint of a Cinderella story at the ball, their meeting is quite memorable – and news-worthy. The back and forth between Scarlett wanting to help and wanting nothing to do with Henry seemed very fitting for both their characters. And it was well-done and believable.

Melissa Storm did an amazing job with the ending. So I will not give any hints to ruin it for you. But she found the perfect way to give everyone a happily ever after. I’m excited to jump right in a read more of the series to see who gets to fall in love next.

Scarlett takes a leave of absence from her job as librarian in Anchorage to train and run the Iditarod. She meets a stranger at the Miners and Trappers Ball and things begin to happen. He has a bucket list to fulfill thanks to his grandfather in order for his family to inherit wealth. Fire and Ice is the only way to describe the relationship.
Great book by a really, really good author. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

This is Book #2 in the Dog Sled series. I love sled dogs especially huskies. Scarlet had trust issues with Henry. Was he like his grandfather? Or was he someone she could trust and love? I am not sure I could do what Scarlet did by leaving her job and following her dream.

This is the 2nd book in the Sled Dog series. Here we meet Scarlett more. She is the librarian in the local town and has always wanted to be a musher. When she is presented with an opportunity that seems too good to be true, she takes it. But at what cost?
We also meet Henry, who seems to have it all but does he? He is fighting family and heritance to try and be what he wants to be. He has to take part in the prestigious dog sled race.
Scarlett and Henry are drawn to each other but there are obstacles that if they are to be together have to be overcome.

The story has captured the dangers and beauty of the vast Alaskan unknown. Wonderful characters, sweet romance, new puppies and the unexpected will captivate and delight. It is well worth the read I will read more from this author. I love huskies and they are great sled dogs.

Another fantastic read! I love Scarlett, she’s a feisty introvert who is very relatable. You get pulled in right away and glued to the pages. It was great to watch Scarlett and Henry and their relationship grew and changed. I love the role the dogs and racing plays in this series, I can’t wait for more.
