This is a huge improvement from the first installment. A page turner too. What I love most about this one is how unapologetically bizarre it is. This is the book that will get you hooked on the dark tower series.

This was much better than the first book, in my opinion, as we got much more of our world mixed with Roland’s. I loved the premise of traveling between worlds and within minds. It was written so well! My only negatives were that I feel there was sometimes a little too much filler, and there was one character I was not fond of at all and got way too much page time.

Overall, there are still many unanswered questions, but I’m excited to see where the series goes from here.

Better than the first. The plot was easier to follow, and the characters were more interesting. I enjoyed how King tied the cast together and the arcs that developed (especially Eddie Dean's character). However, I am still left with more questions than answers that make the ending unsatisfactory.

While this was not the best book I have ever read it was a nice continuation of the series. It left me eagerly anticipating reading the next one.
I did not see the climatic ending coming the way it did.
Onto the next book.
