This seemed like a partial filler volume and partial action volume.  The beginning was a lot of setting up pieces and then 20 pages of action at the end.

I'm getting a little confused with all of the additional characters from the last book. But I am a bit obsessed with finding out what happens to the main character, so I am continuing on. If it ends strong I will probably read it again from the beginning (or even read the full books instead of graphic novel! *GASP*)

Most of the volume was taken up by mind control shenanigans. Good stuff, par for the course.

I truly have no idea whose side Tarvek is on any more. A double cross here! A twist there! A betrayal over here! The only thing I'm clear on is he likes Agatha because her inventions bring all the boys to the yard.

Good timing on wrapping up the Lucrezia storyline because I was just starting to get tired of it. In general this volume is pretty well-paced, I'm a bit confused about Tarvek's constant flip flopping but at least it kept things interesting. I also want to donate Agatha a new everlasting wardrobe because wow, that poor girl never gets to keep her clothes on for long. Her underwear covers up more than most but it still must be pretty mortifying. 3.5 stars

The longest book of the series, and one I stayed up late to finish. Silly steampunk pulpy fun.

In which Agatha deal with some mother/daughter issues, confronts the Baron, and finally gets a good night's sleep.

Eh, a little slower than the others. Plot wasn't the best.

She never actually does anything.  Things happen around her and she narrowly escapes.  Meanwhile, we hear vague snippets of history that treat things that are well-known to the characters with the same sense of mystery as the things they don't know.  This is where the adventure and I part ways.

All the action in this album, so much going on. I'm glad to be done with this part of the story, especially as the next one is my favorite of it all. I love Castle!

The art is rather evolved in this album, as well. There's a lot more background than in the previous books.
