This was an enjoyable cheesy read. Imagine a hallmark movie with a little more colorful language, and you’ve got this book. It was predictable, but still fun and light and everything you would expect it to be. Nothing amazing or terribly unique, but witty at times and enjoyable for this American event coordinator.

3.5 stars! Loved the audiobook narration and funny wedding stories- especially the StarWars themed one. The main character was great too and the romance was sweet.

Such a light, fun romantic comedy! The Secret Bridesmaid is the story of professional bridesmaid Sophie, who has been hired by an aristocratic family to be a bridesmaid for their somewhat difficult daughter. All sorts of mishaps ensue, but it is mainly a story about friendship, with a little romance, and a main character you are rooting for. There are also several funny moments and exchanges from her profession sprinkled throughout the book. Would recommend to anyone that enjoys romantic comedies - perfect for summer!

Where do I honestly even begin to describe how AWESOME and BEAUTiFUL this book is <3
This was honestly a very heartwarming book to read.
It was the perfect amount of romance but I think this book was more about the blooming friendship of Cordelia and Sophie, it was about letting your guard down with people that you never thought you'd be friends with.
It is also a beautiful love story, not too heavy on romance, but the perfect amount.
I was hesitant at first when I started reading this book, but the more I flipped the pages the more I loved it, also the author won me over yet again with the perfect British humor, at this point, I am pretty sure I'll only read British books :)
The only thing I wish we had more of is Tom and Sophie, I wish we had a cute epilogue but nonetheless beautiful and funny book.

Up front: this is a story of women becoming friends before it's a love story. That makes it kind of wonderful.

Synopsis: When the bride has it all together, works her high-profile job, and somehow keeps the wedding on track without even a wedding coordinator and looks glamorous doing it, there's always a hard-working bridesmaid behind her. But not every bridesmaid is up to the task. Sometimes the bride has to hire-out some of the work. That's where Sophie steps in. She's great a her job, memorizing every family member and keeping the caterer under budget at the same time she makes sure the bride is relaxed. Then Cordelia's mother hires her to help her prickly, over-compensating daughter who does not have a bridesmaid or wedding planner.

Cordelia does her best to make Sophie leave, but this secret bridesmaid is up to the challenge. Cordelia's brother is making the job a little easier, too, being perfectly aimiable and ...perfect.

This story follows the slow-burn friendship of Cordelia and Sophie while love blossoms on the side.
