I wasn't expecting that twist, it really took me by surprise, and that's something I value in a thriller.

This wasn't a bad read, a little slow (picked up at around 40% of the way through) I couldn't really connect with the characters but I did enjoy the overall plot and the dual timeline.
I have tried many times to get into this book and am finding very little intrigue. Do inciting incidents happen? Yes. Is the doll house mystery intriguing? Absolutely not. There is so little to go on and the main character so weak that I cannot push past the 25% mark no matter how many times I come back to it.

This book wasn’t for me and I struggled to finish it. I found myself eye rolling multiple times throughout the story. I couldn’t get on board with the characters and I predicted what was going on so the ‘twist’ was expected.
