16 historical and out of time flash fictions. Never heard of flash fictions before. This book as about 30 pages of stories and every one of them is like a punch to the heart / mind /soul. The work is described as “ekphrastic work”, a term I had to look up.
I came across the author via Nora in the onecityonebook for Dublin a year or two ago and see there is a new book out next year. I can’t understand why this book has not had the profile of Claire Keenan’s work. Why is nobody else reading or talking about it? I came across is in the small book section in Pearse St library last week. It wasn’t even listed on Storygraph. I’m missing something, because this book is a amazing.
