This book is so not something I would usually pick up. (It was a gift and I am open minded for having read it even though I find the author infuriating.) While witty and sometimes funny, Gutfeld is acerbic and bitter; honestly he just seems like a bully. Another reviewer mentioned that Gutfeld “writes exactly the way he talks” and that is 100% spot on - now I can’t get his irritating voice out of my head.

I am open to things that go against my beliefs. In fact, I was looking forward to listening to this. That is how you grow and learn. But this was just awful. I struggled to make it to 10%, then I just couldn’t take anymore. I labored over the decision to finish or stop this. I hate abandoning a book. But I just couldn’t stomach any more of this. It was not his beliefs or ideas, it was his delivery. He just comes across as so bitter, angry and hateful. I don’t need that in my life. One of the side benefits of not attending church anymore is enjoying the fact that I never have to hear anyone yelling at me anymore. But that was all this author did. In the portion I was able to get through, he didn’t offer any solutions, only yelling about the problem.
It was hard to tell what was sarcastic and what were genuine expressions of his ideas. I fear that the author is using this intentionally: if confronted on anything he said, he could just hide behind the excuse of being sarcastic.
I am so glad I stopped listening to this. Based on the first 10%, I recommend staying away from this one. If it gets better and he offers solutions, let me know and I will give it another try.

If you are easily offended and don't like crude humor, this probably isn't the book for you. But I am a fan of Greg's, and this made me laugh a lot.

LOL, Greg should be a comedic writer full time. This book is 10 years old but I still laffed like a manic. I’ve seen him on Fox TV and I was intrigued by his eye-raising but raw commentary.

If you’re willing to be open-minded (inside joke-Gutfeld) then should try to this raucous rant.
