"I need to regularly take a good look at what consumes me. Is it God’s presence? God’s plan? God’s purposes? Or am I consumed with my plans, my purposes, and my pursuits for significance, acceptance, and the adoration of others?...As I keep my eyes on Christ, however, those consuming passions fade away." - Katie Orr

This is a reminder I am needing recently to put off my "old self." Change, transition, adjustment...all of these things are a challenge. It is also scary to not be in control or know what's coming up next. The unexpected can create fear in me, but when I seek what God has in store for me, I can be more confident of the result, even if I may not know the ultimate outcome.

Katie's FOCUSed15 studies were the first studies that really helped me to dig into the Bible. I love how each step brings a deeper understanding of the Word. Whether you are new to studying the Word or if you just looking for a new study, this is perfect for someone who only has 15 minutes (or more) to look into what the Bible has to say.
