Dunno. It’s fine. I like it. But I have a stack of TBRs that I’m way more interested in right now and this one needed to go back to the library. Would consider trying again when I run out of things I’m dying to read.

This one kept me company all day as I ran errands, did yard work, rearranged furniture and cleaned up around the house. A cute friends to lovers/second chance romance if those are your tropes.

Was not enjoying the premise and the characters and their backstory was not enough to keep me.  If your career is on a downward spiral I don't think exploiting someone who put their heart out there in a letter is a good PR move.

This was a fun story with some of my favorite tropes: second chance, first love and best friend’s brother. I enjoyed the plot a lot and I always love how this author has two perspectives. I think I had wished for a little bit more time for the main character to do some self reflection because I liked that angle of the story, but besides that this was a fun read that I enjoyed.

Charming rom-com. Second chance, road-trip, dual POV.

I would’ve loved this book if it was written in a different format. I wish she would’ve swapped an alternating POV for a now v then timeline. I found the dual POV was redundant, and I’d get lost/bored in the flashbacks that were placed in present day. It wasn’t a bad book — I love a childhood friends trope and I really wanted to root for Birdie and Elliot. I just think the way the story was told, and some of the details (
the magic show ending was too slapstick for my liking
) got in the way of a really lovable story and cast.
