Brief, but enjoyable - this book is an excellent introduction to the historical world of Flintlock and its intriguing characters. Book One lays the groundwork for what will no doubt be some fast-paced and fun adventures, but it is very much just the beginning. I enjoyed the stories I was given, but was definitely left wanting more!

I have to confess to preferring a coloured comic even if the tones are muted to match the mood of the comic.
Of the three comics here I actually preferred that final one about the two urchins and The Clockwork Cavalier, in both story and artwork style.
