I didn't enjoy the stories in this one as much as the first one. Sholmes felt lacking as character, especially as he's supposed to be the famous detective; there were obvious details he had overlooked and left unchecked until later in the investigation. It was all about him and Lupin facing off against each other, but it wasn't that interesting to read for me; it was only a quick, okay read. On a side note, I wished the female character had a stronger motive for being involved in the exploits, which could've given more depth to her character.
