This book was SO much better than I expected it to be, but I'm not going to rate it - to be honest, I don't think that books like this should be rated. This isn't fiction, this isn't a fantasy story with cute characters, sarcastic lines and an epic quest to save the world, this is harsh reality. And I am in no position to rate someone's view of reality.

This book takes you right into the war while it was happening. I appreciated the honest tone and hearing the inside-stories. The author explains how tough the navigation and bomb sighting really was. We take all of our electronics for granted today.
Guy became one of the only crew-members from his starting group that stayed alive. More drinking back at the base became SOP as the stress of this set in.
