More of a 3,5 stars but I docked down half a star because 1/ I'm ruthless - which should be reason enough in my opinion but since most people won't take that as a valid reason... - and 2/ I was really not a fan of Jarrell's artwork unfortunately. Not to take anything from the artist's talent but to each their own I guess... In all fairness, I liked Moritat's pages better, but to my understanding, he only did the first 6 pages. As always, I'm in love with Annie Wu's stunning work & the cover was terrific.

That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this issue.
It was such an improvement from issue #9 - which clearly was a filler. They didn't even try to disguise it by throwing us some kind of bone.
However, with issue #10, I felt like we finally got some scraps of answers and the plot was finally starting to take shape & make sense. I can only deplore that it's only starting to fall into place now - 3 issues into this arc. The pacing of this issue was also much better.
And I'm not gonna lie, I'm a huge fan of Babs & Dinah's friendship, so having Batgirl (and even Frankie!) featured in this issue was a nice treat.

I'm very eager to have Dinah reunited with the band in Berlin next issue. I've missed Bo, Paloma, Lord Byron and Ditto.

It has come to my understanding that this title is being axed following DC's Rebirth event. Even if this title has been more of a miss than a hit this past arc, I'm truly gonna miss it. I loved what Fletcher did with Dinah and his take on the character. Let's hope that issues #11 & #12 will conclude this arc and title in a satisfactory fashion and give Black Canary the send-off it deserves.

Also, to conclude with, I thought I'd mention that DC released an 3 songs EP (entitled EP1) by the band Black Canary - yes this is a genius marketing move, I won't even go into it. The EP is actually SO GOOD. It's exactly the kind of song you'd expect from the band. Two songs are original tracks and one is a cover. My favorite is called "Old World". The EP is available for stream or download on band camp.

Decent, but this storyline and Wu's absence are really hurting this book.
