Thank you, Dink Duncan, Josh Pinto, Ruth Rose Hathaway, and Ron Roy, for the childhood memories. These books helped me to become a lifelong reader and lover of mysteries.

Guided reading level N

I'm not thrilled about how the kids disobey their parents in this story. Something to be aware of and perhaps discuss, especially if a young kid is reading this by themselves.

This was adorable. My youngest and I had so many guesses. I loved listening to her tell me her theories. We love this series!

I remember this series from my childhood! LOVED it! I read it all the time in elementary school. But now that I'm reading it as an adult, it's not as exciting hahaha. For a kid to read it; it's great. Cool artwork and good storyline. But as an adult; I'm so used to reading James Patterson books with murders & dark stuff, this just didn't hit the spot for me lol. Although, I still enjoyed it and would recommend it for kids.

This was a little *too* simple and silly for my taste, but the kiddo sure enjoyed it. I'm sure I would have given it more stars if I were ten years old too. I'm just glad it was so short, and now we can move on to something a little more stimulating for the entire family.

Great book! I loved it! I can't wait to read this to my boys.

Read aloud to Emma and Will. The plot was pretty contrived in this one, but the series is still lots of fun.
