3.5 rounded up. This was solid, with nice art. I really like Babs and her little feud with the Bat. I just feel like more could have been done to develop her a little more?

Beautiful illustrations in a simplistic old-comic style (no painstakingly drawn individual hairs on characters' heads here). The story engages with the reader at every step of the way with wonderful little references to the Oracle at Delphi (a not-so-subtle foreshadowing of what will become of Barbara Gordon later). All around, an enjoyable read.

Barbra Gordon is one of my all time favorite comic book characters. From Batgirl to Oracle. This book is about her first adventure, her attempt to become an apprentice to Black Canary, and this book has the start of Killer Moth and Firefly.
Classic fun book, that should be more in-print like Batman Year One.

Pretty great Batgirl origin story with decent art, even if it's full of awful on-the-nose references to The Killing Joke, Oracle etc.
