Beast Part 1 is the first part of this twisted Beauty & the Beast erotic fairy tale. I must say after reading Hansel and loving it I had high expectations for this book. I love love love Beauty & the Beast so I was looking for an amazing story. This was good, but not as good as the first part of Hansel.

Annabelle is obsessed with Cal Hammond, movie star extraordinaire. She is a virgin, the only one of her friends to still be one, and when they get on the guest list of a celebrity party they decide that she will sleep with Cal that night. If he will have her. For her part, for as much as she is obsessed with him, she doesn't want to have sex. She doesn't even like people touching her, probably not even Cal.

Cal is kind of floating through life. He has a fake girlfriend he has to pose for photos with, a few good friends, and a father that is a drug addict. He makes some bad choices the night he meets Annabelle and ends up in jail. The jail where her step-dad works. Something happened that night that turned him into this cold, ruthless person. When her step-dad ends up on the wrong side of Cal (now knows as Beast) Annabelle arrives just in time to stop him from being murdered. The only problem? She would have to give herself to Beast to save her dad. Can she do it? We shall find out. This was an alright read, some scenes from the end were not so good, but hopefully it will just get better from here.

I went back and forth with this book, I liked it and then I didn't like it. It is a good story but Cal/Ricardo is ok but Beast bothers me a lot. I like Anna/Angel so I will read the next one, hoping it gets better.

I have no shame.

when it comes to dark erotic, im pathetic. I dont EVEN know wat kind of i like.

I liked dis.

It started great. a girl, 17. a movie star, 21. they're in a party, she adores him and wants to pop her cherry but not sure, he feeling sick weird and wants some pureness.

then guess wat happened?
lol nothing, dat was hot but not the way u think... but this is not the point.

then... while we are still horny and desperate, something bad happened and we back to the future!

wat ever, i like dis part, and after "damage is done" part, it was becoming very disturbing, frustrating and sick. i mean, reallllly reallly sick- in last a few page. oh fuck me, the way he treat and fuck her... speechless... between lust, love, rage, insanity and some other shits.

but im a hopeless romantic, and for to cover my sick side, i needed to find something in his.
so look at this.

“Your call, Angel. Your choice.”
His eyes, when I look up at him, are redolent. His eyes—they beg me to say “no.”

this is make wat? NOT his angel that's for sure... now understand why i liked, just one sentence.

dont get anything wrong, she is a slut. a whore- for him. of course he submitted her but she was already willingly to be his. and this is important 4 me.

“I—” he thrusts— “am no one—” he thrusts— “that you know. I never will be. I will hurt you—” he thrusts— “for my pleasure—” he thrusts— “I will make you pay—” thrust— “Every day you fuck me, I will make you pay.”

I love a good quickie.

Not sure I like Cal Hammond very much though. I didn't like how he treated his is/she isn't girlfriend Una and I hate drugs. One minute he is sad about his dad collapsing after taking drugs and then in the next breath he is taking them himself and causing all sorts of carnage.

I'm not a fan of books that glamorise drugs, I didn't like Raw for the same reason.

I did like the character of Annabelle, she was lovely. Much as I don't like the drugs, I do love a good old redemption story and am looking forward to the beast turning back into a handsome prince. I wonder if there will be a talking teapot and candlestick.

3.5 stars - Intriguing beginning. I was thrown off b/c what I expected to be the "prologue" to the story was actually most of this episode (ie the part in the past). I actually really enjoyed that whole part, and it was much more involved than I expected. But it threw me off b/c I was intrigued about the present part from the synopsis, and the book just barely got into that part before ending.

Good chemistry, enjoyable steam, and actually both characters in the past were quite likeable.

This is actually pretty good. I gave it 2 stars only because it was short, and I wanted more.

Beast begins with Annabelle being seventeen and going to a party to get a chance to see the famous twenty-one year old actor Cal aca Ricardo. Cal on the other hand is high at the party, and just wants to be left alone, and go back home. He's had a rough day, and doesn't want to be there. But when he stumbles upon Annabelle things change. He sees her as an "Angel" and Annabelle is starstruck so they have a small little tryst and go their separate ways. But fate brings them together again. And again.

After so many years of Cal being in prison he basically runs it now. And Annabelle again stumbles into the line of fire with Cal, but this time it's not just her whose on the line.

This book had an intriguing plot line, but it just wasn't for me. I couldn't really connect to the characters at all. And I honestly felt sort of dirty reading it. And not in the good kind of dirty either. I think if I had been able to understand the characters better and connect with them it would have been more interesting, but other wise I just didn't like the book. It just wasn't for me. The writing was good however, and again the plot line was intriguing but it just didn't quite work in my eyes.
