Well written picture book on the landscape architect who designed many of America's parks and public places. I am glad that the author included some information on the people who were displaced in order to create these spaces, both in the text and the author's note.

This well-illustrated picture book biography shares Frederick Law Olmsted's life story and highlights some of his main accomplishments, especially the democratizing effects of his public parks. Both the text and author's note acknowledge groups that experienced displacement both prior to and because of some of the park developments he was involved with, and the author did a great job explaining historical contexts briefly and clearly.
