A good insight into how other cultures operate. Characters and story were a bit stilted but I enjoyed this towards the end.

I really enjoyed this book - it raised a lot of questions about cultural divides, moral relativism, and the ties of family. Fun to have Canberra featured so heavily - a fab local author writing about local spots!

I found the end unsatisfying and a bit abrupt - I was expecting more chapters and felt sad when I hit the acknowledgements page!

An engaging read that highlighted aspects of culture clash that I hadn't considered before in a family estrangement.
