I loved this one just as much as the previous ones. This is a series that knows how to hold on to its unique tone.

I especially love the backstory on the Saint of killers and Cassidy's adventure in New Orleans.

24/24 books from April to September. Didn't think I was going to do it, but here we are tying this reading challenge up with the neat little bloody bow that is Preacher Vol. 3: Proud Americans.

Beginning with a trip to the fast, we find out the backstory of one of the most intimidating presences comic books have to offer - The Saint of Killers. Exploring the wild west of Garth Ennis' creation is just as violent and lawless as the present day setting in which our trio are forced to come face to face with the consequences of their own thoughtless actions in various arcs.

With growing conflict between the trios, this was a brilliant addition to an excellent, if occasionally excessive series.

Now this is really what I want from this comic. A lot of amazing and relatively lowkey scenes with Cassidy just being an absolute dick. The Saint of Killers story and the Cassidy vs. Lestat stories were by far my favourites. It is all tying together really well.
