We had the pleasure of meeting Malcolm at our local story telling event, recently. He is an excellent story teller, very entertaining.
His book is great, recording stories that have never been written down before. We learned things about our local area that we didn't know and these stories have added a lot of magic to the places we visit regularly.
The stories lose something in being written down though. The written word is a permanent record of stories that could be lost but the best way to know these stories is to listen to them being told, whilst sitting around a campfire as it gradually gets dark.
This is how we heard them, and it was magical.
If you ever get the chance to attend a story telling session by Malcolm then do so. You will enjoy it. If not, then this book is the next best thing.
