It must be first said that Wilson’s writing about rape in the last chapter is not good; it gives too much to the accused rapist. Outside of that, this book is a great collision between two things I love. The travel quips are funny; I wish there were more. The analysis of the football history is, as always, very in depth. However, most of the stories follow a similar format and reading a lot in one sitting can be repetitive. This work is also overpopulated, in the same vein as Inverting the Pyramid. Overall, a fun and educational read most of the time

Nice blend of my two passions. Eastern Europe and it's football sounds like an absolute madhouse
