I actually liked this novel because it was urban lit without that grimy street life portrayal. I appreciate each author's ability to straddle that line. I recommend it to anyone really, anyone seeking book that will relax you & take you away from your own problems. Lol. However, I'm not a fan of "romance" short story collections.

I really want to give this a 2.5. The first two stories were pretty decent, although the 1st dragged at moments. The last two were disappointing. In short stories, words are a premium and I felt too many were wasted on unnecessary details and not enough used to further develop the plot or characters.

Hmmm..maybe I'll come back to this one at another time. I can't even finish the first story. I don't like when a woman starts out trying to 'steal' back a man that she stupidly turned away because he wanted to marry her and she is all about herself and her career. Okay, Boo Boo Kitty. A good man who wants to love and support you, but you aren't about that life? Umm hmm. Now she sees what she got rid of and is determined to get back her man no matter who she has to walk over in the process. I understand that he doesn't really have a new girlfriend, but she thinks that he does and she is only concerned with getting back what she considers hers with no regard for the possible relationship that he is in. Nooooope.
