The Welsh folklore was enjoyable, however the writing style was difficult to digest, and I suspect it would be far more enthralling if listened to in Welsh.

I feel like if I had understood the book better, I would've given it a better review. Is probably a much better read in Welsh.

Rather difficult to even comprehend. My edition had footnotes where the translator was frequently at a loss as to what was even meant certain sentences.

I have this very odd connection with Wales that I cannot rationalize or account for, especially since I have only been there once, and that was more than 20 years ago. All I can put it down to is I might have some Welsh ancestry I don't know about.

I've been wanting to read The Mabinogion for a long time. What is it? Its a corpus of Welsh Mythology, that's what! It is like Beowulf and the Arthurian legends rolled into one.

It is strange, bizzare, sometimes a little disturbing but still a joy to read. A unique set of stories from a unique country.
