I suppose 11 years ago when this premiered, it was considered, as the NY Times review stated "fabulously weird and weirdly fabulous', but now it just reads like ersatz Durang, neither particularly funny, not even very interesting - and its gender politics are now fairly passé also. It's purportedly based loosely on Chekhov's 'Three Sisters', but for a far better rendition of faux Chekhov, try Durang's own 'Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike", or even better Aaron Posner's 'Life Sucks' or 'Stupid Fucking Bird'.
