I loved this book, every time I wasn’t reading it I was thinking about it. It was short read as well which went with the plot amazingly, it never dragged out too much or skipped over parts too fast. Would 100% recommend.

Gaiman has that really unique writing style of making his stories like fairy tales that feel oddly nostalgic. Even though I have never read the book before and have never seen the movie, I felt like I knew the story. It felt familiar. Not in a creepy way, but in a comforting way. Needless to say, I loved this book and the characters. Highly recommend!

4.5. I adore both the book and the movie, it’s a rare instance when Hollywood makes changes that actually are better for the film. The book is fun, quick witted, and adventurous with a theme of politeness that reminds me to travel and speak to strangers with kindness first. I enjoyed the numerous side adventures explored in the book, and understand why there wasn’t as much action as the movie showed. Planning on purchasing for a copy as a gift soon! Definitely a feel good read, a fairytale.

3.75/5 - fun, new fairytale type of story. I liked how everything happened in the end. It did lose my attention here and there.

I might think differently now since I read it when I was quite young but frankly, it was the worst Gaiman has ever written. He's my favourite author but Stardust wasn't captivating and was kinda dull instead.
