I really enjoyed the banter between Poppy and Hawke. They made a good pair together. I thought this book was pretty original when it came to the concept of everything going on. I liked that the world building was more of a slow reveal than a huge info dump at the beginning of the book.

I would give it a 3.5 if I could. Poppy was kind of annoying with how naive she acted at times. Hoping for some character development later in the series

It's a very slow start but still holds your interest.

The book picks up at around the 300 page mark.

Excellent banter. The characters seem written well enough.

The action scenes are great!

Would recommend for a quiet rainy day ☺️
