{My thoughts} – This book has simple non distracting illustrations. They help to nicely portray the meaning of the words shared on each page. They help the reader to better understand the lesson within the pages. It is written well and to the point. It helps little children to understand that sometimes you get gifts that you might not want or have any use for, but the fact you got something is what really matters. What really matters is that someone had went out of their way to get that special gift for them and that they should appreciate it and be thankful for it. It is a timeless lesson that many children in todays society need to learn and should learn at a young age. I think this book could be beneficial to many bookshelves as it is a good lesson and one I look forward to sharing with my one year old when she is old enough to understand it.

Mr. Panda gives out presents to all his friends, but the other characters aren't very thankful. I like the Mr. Panda books and this one was also entertaining, but the plot bothered me. Yes, it illustrates the importance of saying thank you, but we have watched these other characters be horrible throughout the rest of the series, so I found it problematic.

For: readers who love pandas; readers needing a book about saying thank you.

Possible red flags: rude characters.

my son totally loves this series (esp. please mr panda) and it is probably 80% of the reason why he adds "pls" to everything. the short sentences on each page lend itself really well to the attention span of a 18-24 mo child.

The Mr. Panda books are nothing short of adorable! The bright colors, minimalist figures, and repetitive language are suitable for toddlers and preschoolers. What I particularly enjoy about Thank You, Mr. Panda is that the manners of thankfulness and kindness are taught in a humorous and guilt-free way.

The illustration of the lemur with his gift elevates this to 4 stars.
