This rating is solely for Missing Christmas by Kate Clayborn. It’s a cute snowed in/only one bed/friends to lovers/pining forever story in the same universe as the Chance of a Lifetime books.

I just couldn’t with the Fern Michaels story — I haven’t read anything else by her, but it was very “tell not show” in the pages I got through. The second story was fine, I just wasn’t feeling it.

I DNFed the first two stories. Fully admit that I barely gave the 2nd story a shot, I was just Not Here For It. (Poor kid/rich kid/high school nemeses set-up? So not my trope.)

Kate's story was BEAUTIFUL and wonderful and worth the price of admission. I agree w/ other reviewers here: skip straight to the last novella.

This is not the first anthology that I have read. Each of the stories were entertaining and different from one another. I enjoyed each of them. I have to admit that I enjoyed Fern Michaels short story the best. It seemed the most complete story. As with many anthologies, I feel that they just get you into the story and then they quickly wrap them up as they have to fit into the size of the book. If you are looking for quick holiday reads all three of these books fit the bill. If you are looking for a more intense story, then anthologies are not for you. At this time of year when it is busy and sometimes you can't delve into an intense book then this book is the answer for you. There was a fourth book in my copy that I received that was just a part of a book and this was not explained well at the start of the section. It just ended and as I didn't realize it wasn't a full book, it kind of put me off the book as a whole. Perhaps next time the published includes something like this, it could be made clearer that it was not a full book, then it would be the readers choice as to whether to read a sample or not.

Very cute! A collection of novellas featuring Christmas stories. A bookseller’s niece inherits his store in Philadelphia, but her life is in a different city. As she readies the place for sale, she meets new friends, sets up charity sales, and speed dating events! This was cute and Christmasy. We also had the story of second chance romance with high school enemies (and a swoony vet and a rescue cat!) And to finish things off, business partners who become friends to lovers when they get snowed in over Christmas. This one had some really cute stories!

My favorite was the middle story. The last story had more language and sex.
