My fault I thought this book was a modern romance, and it very much is not. For example, the author introduced queer parents but critiques them the whole time mostly for being too queer. The author had this unconventional women go through this self discovery only to end with her getting married with a kid. Not that that’s wrong, but it felt forced to give her a stereotypical happy ending. The main issue with that plot line was how underdeveloped the love interest was. Overall, it was well-written but leaned too realistic to be escapist and too ridiculous at times to feel real. I also found the main character to be very unlikable which made it hard to read for purely a character study.

While the language in the book was beautiful, I felt that Good in Bed was a bit droll for my tastes. It was predictable in many places and took me longer to read than I anticipated. Scenes dragged on for me. I've read other works by Jennifer Weiner and enjoyed them. Maybe this one is just a fluke.

I had mixed feelings with this book. It started out good and I kind of sympathize with the MC, but almost at the end, she started to get whiny and annoying. I would've stopped reading but I was so close to the end (maybe 3-5 more chapters) that I stuck around just so I can actually finish a book.
In hindsight, it was probably a sign of my love for chick lit swindling down.

This was fun, cute read. I think I need to check our more books by this author.

Eh. I'm not so much for the Weiner as others seem to be.
