I read The Blind Side first and absolutely loved it, so I was pretty disappointed with this one. The main issue was the heroine. She was a complete bitch and treated Zeke like crap. She really irritated me throughout this entire book. Then the 3rd act conflict happened and I disliked her even more.

Zeke was AMAZING!!! He deserved a woman who would not belittle his issues in school and his dyslexia. I mean, Zeke completely supported her and helped her with being the kicker on the football team.

This man did not need to grovel, I felt that she should have been the one begging for his forgiveness.

Their relationship felt centered around hooking up and I just didn't buy into their connection because Riley was so bullheaded and stubborn.

This author knows her football! 🏈 I love how the game is actually a part of the plot and not just something the characters happen to be involved in. 

Also, Zeke may be in the running for my book boyfriend of the month. For example, this quote: “Because I am scarred by the fire you started in me. Because you have reduced me to fucking ashes.” I MEAN COME ON. 😍

The combination of Kandi Steiner and sports romance was the perfect combination to get me out of a reading slump. I honestly loved how much football we got along with the romance. Love the friend group and excited to read their books next.
