Honestly, I don't understand the appeal. The writing was juvenile. The characters were flat and contradictory. Likely the only reason I finished this one was because it was so short. I realized about halfway through that this was written about as well as Rocky Flinstone's Belinda Blinked.
You just need to swap the "Pots and Pans Industry" for "getting a degree in psychology" with a flare of "girl with Southern Baptist purity culture trauma". Making this correlation was probably the only reason I continued with the book.
I feel like I know more about her Aunt FannyJo, I mean TracyJo, than I do about either of her roommates.
The characters felt like looking at marketing materials - forced diversity. Adding a characters race or size for the sake of including it without actually honoring it. I really could have appreciated less "I'm a fat, tall girl" body image issues too.

This is such a poor example of the BDSM community. The idea that her two roommates are supporting themselves through college by only giving BJ's at a club is laughable. The concept of her natural inclination as a Domme is just silly. She gave no impression of that in their first tryst aside from just being a strong personality - and this was evidenced by her trial run as an interview. No self respecting club owner would unleash an unknown on a client without vetting the candidate more.

This is Intro to BDSM for those who found Fifty Shades too spicy. That was a fairly meager attempt at intro to the culture and this is soooo many levels below that.
