Review from first re-read: This was a re-read for me (the last of the Wayward Children books that I needed to re-read prior to picking up Lost in the Moment and Found) and I thoroughly enjoyed returning to the world of the Goblin Market and its system of fair value. This short story is utterly heartbreaking but also incredible in its craft. There is a true understanding of the pain adults carry from their time as children that features in these books which makes them so compelling and readable.
